Quickly switch your Mac between Standard F1, F2, etc. and Hardware Keys (brightness and volume).

If you write notes in Epic on a Mac, sending F2 directly to the app can make wildcard and smartlist selection faster, so this helps.

What it does

Toggles how MacOS function keys behave:

  • Click the menu bar icon OR
  • Use the hotkey shortcut ⌘⌥F (Command, Option, F)

How to use it

  • Download the app .dmg
  • Move the .dmg into your applications and then launch it
  • The fnFlip icon should appear in the menu bar.
  • Click the icon to switch modes, or press ⌘⌥F.
  • Right-click the icon for the menu and the About panel.

Launch at login (optional)

Right slick on the icon and select “Launch at Login”. You may see a notification. In System Settings, General, Login Items you will see an item from Erkin Otles.

Privacy

FnFlip does not collect data, it only toggles the system preference for function keys locally.
